What We Collect
ClearCost Rx collects minimal data to provide our service:
- Email address— only if you sign up for fund reopening alerts. Used solely to notify you when a program reopens.
- localStorage data— your drug searches and preferences are stored in your browser’s localStorage. This data never leaves your device.
- Analytics— if enabled, we use Google Analytics 4 to understand aggregate usage patterns (pages visited, features used). No personally identifiable information is sent to Google Analytics.
Protected Health Information (PHI)
Your health information never leaves your browser. All eligibility screening, savings calculations, and enrollment data are processed entirely in your browser using localStorage. We do not store, transmit, or have access to any personal health information on our servers.
Third-Party Links
ClearCost Rx contains links to manufacturer programs, foundations, pharmacies, and other external sites. We are not responsible for the privacy practices or content of these third-party websites. We encourage you to review their privacy policies before providing any personal information.
Your Rights (CCPA / GDPR)
- Right to know— you can request a copy of any data we hold about you (limited to alert signup emails).
- Right to delete— you can request deletion of your email from our alert system at any time.
- Right to opt out— you can clear your browser localStorage at any time to remove all locally stored data.
- No sale of data— we do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.
